ABOUT THE TRAINERS

Starting from the age of 10 we spent our summers coaching the younger neighborhood kids to prepare for the fall season of AYSO, a community-led soccer organization. Many of these players parents do not have the resources to join a club team so that they can play year round to improve their skills. So we started offering training sessions for local neighborhood kids, providing them with the opportunity to get more touches on the ball, improve their overall game, and ultimately help strengthen their confidence.

AANYA PALANIAPPAN

"I am a compassionate and patient teenage soccer coach, driven by my passion for guiding and mentoring younger children on their soccer journey. My greatest joy comes from creating a nurturing, fun, and supportive environment where kids can develop both their soccer skills and their confidence. With a natural ability to connect with young players, I strive to provide individual attention and mentorship to each child, empowering them to grow and succeed both on and off the field.

My journey as a coach began with a deep love for the game and a desire to share that love with others. From organizing informal practices, assisting in summer camps to cheering on the sidelines during games, I am fully invested in every aspect of my players' development.

As a teenage girl involved in coaching, I serve as a positive role model and leader within them.  Providing coaching to our tight-knit community brings me a lot of joy, and I hope the kids can also feel the same way."

  • Participated in the Donistini Cup in San Sebastian, Spain 2023.

  • Recent wins:

    • MVLA 2023 spring tournament.

    • MVLA cup in the 2009 girls' category.

    • Fall 2023 NorCal Surf Champions cup.

"I am a dynamic and enthusiastic teenage soccer coach, driven by my deep affection for the sport and my genuine desire to mentor and inspire children while fostering a sense of community in Burlingame. My coaching approach is characterized by energy, fun, and engagement, ensuring that every session is not only educational but also exhilarating for the kids involved. Beyond teaching soccer skills, I strive to instill confidence and leadership qualities in my young players, empowering them to excel both on and off the field.

My journey into coaching began at the age of 10 when I started organizing informal soccer sessions for the children in my neighborhood during summers. This early experience blossomed into a passion for nurturing young players, both in their athletic skills and their personal development, fostering a profound "Love for the Sport" among them.


As I continued to coach, I witnessed the transformative power of sports in building camaraderie and a sense of joy within the kids in our community."

ABOUT US

Welcome to Community Connect Soccer! As teen soccer coaches, we are committed to the Burlingame community. We enjoy working with and teaching younger kids soccer, and our philosophy revolves around creating fun, safe, and supportive environments where kids can discover the joy of soccer while developing fundamental skills and a love for the game. Through age-appropriate activities, drills, and games, we try to nurture self-confidence and self-esteem. We also provide mentorship and act as role models by guiding them through the ups and downs of their soccer journey, leading by example and demonstrating qualities such as dedication, sportsmanship and perseverance.
